Summer Holiday. Final Version.

In the end (that is: in the beginning), we stayed at home. As much as we had wanted to do special things during our summer holiday this year, the reality told us to be clever about it and do first things first.

So the first week of our summer holiday was spent renovating the living room floor. An interesting thing to do, but also a hard job.

After that, we got some much-needed rest by returning to work for two weeks. And just when we got used to having a beautiful new flooring, we had to leave it at home for a few days. This time, we really took a holiday; what would soon become an autumn one.

Lübeck was as beautiful and interesting as ever, even though they shouldn’t have closed the Buddenbrook House on this Thomas Mann fan and even though I would have appreciated one of those tourist busses you can hop on and then they drive you around and tell you all about the city while doing so.

Instead we booked a guided tour and our guide was late. Like: 50 minutes late. By that time the weather had turned from way too hot to way too cold, so this was one of those moments noone wants to reminisce about afterwards. But the tour was good. And we went book shopping. And there is at least one great Indian restaurant with warming food in Lübeck – can hardly wait to try the other ones.

So yes, we need to return, and not just once: there are hiking paths we didn’t do, historical facts we are curious about, beautiful buildings my camera is hungry for, riverboat tours to be repeated, birds to be watched.

Bomo videli, kako prijazna bo vojna ekonomija do mini podjetnic moje vrste 😦
